About Dori Hartley... A native New Yorker, Hartley started her career as young teen, doing portraits of Todd Rundgren, Peter Frampton, Robert Plant and several other rock stars. Her work was seen in several rock publications and periodicals -- some no longer in circulation. She was a pioneer in the creation of the Rocky Horror Picture Show cult and floorshow. She has written several articles about her early involvement, including the autobiographical essay, "Rocky Horror 'Glee' Episode a Time Warp for Original Floor-Show Frank", for AOL, which received over a million page-views in one single day. As a singer-songwriter, she had the great fortune to write with Tears For Fears, The GooGoo Dolls, Carlos Santana, Morcheeba and Daphne Ruben Vega. Her song, "Nobody Loves Me But You" (off the Blue Djinn album) was featured as part of the plot in episode #11 (A Hit is a hit) on the HBO series, The Sopranos. She has authored one novel, "Angels and Echoes", and is presently working on her second, "The Wish". Hartley's writing credits include: Huffington Post: Women, Politics, Religion, Health, Tech and Parent sections. AOL's ParentDish MyDaily XOJane Commissions for portraiture are available, as are prints of previously created work. Contact Dori for more details.
